Aspen Ladd began her journey into combat sports at the teenager age. Aspen Ladd trained in BJJ, kickboxing boxing and wrestling before making her debut as an amateur at WCFC aged 18. Ladd then went on to beat three times within a row in Ultimate Reno Combat. All her opponents were defeated within the first minute. She went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous verdict. Aspen won against Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia gave Aspen an unanimity loss and outclassed her to tarnish Ladd's professional career. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff to improve her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen became a professional in 2015. She signed up with Invicta FC and made her debut. InvictaFC 11 was her first professional bout. Aspen dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing a 1st-round TKO. Invicta defeated her at bantamweight and won via armbar submission in the second round. Aspen utilized her expertise in wrestling to knock out McGill with a TKO during the third round (elbows & punches). Aspen was then in a fight with Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, weighing weight of catchweight (138.1lb), as Ladd did not have enough weight. Despite this, Aspen was able to take on Hoy. She finished her by KO in the 2nd round. Invicta FC 28 was her final fight for the company. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks be defeated in a unanimity. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to debut. She faced Linalansberg during UFC Fight Night 118. She was a step ahead of Lina and pounded her with a ground-and-pound to pick up a second-round TKO victory. She repeated her dominance and scored an even amazing victory in her subsequent bout against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229. Ladd defeated Evinger in the first round and got an outstanding performance bonus. Ladd fought in her debut big fight at the UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Vs. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. Both fighters put up an intense battle that concluded with Ladd taking a unanimous win and both fighters receiving an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd in just 16 seconds, putting an end to her winning streak. In the third round of UFC in ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In her most recent fight with the UFC she fought Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a replacement fight. The fight was unanimously decided against her.
